3/5Not as good as it used to beFamily · 1 Jul 26

We have stayed at the resort more times than I can count but I fear this may be the last. Rooms and restaurant are tatty and in need of updating. One of our party found a love maggot in a fish dish! The air conditioning in our room did not work and despite having a maintenance man out on the second day, it did not get fixed. This then mad…

3/5Family holidayFamily · 1 Jul 26

Overall this was a good holiday. The location was excellent and the watersport activities for younger children and teens is also excellent. The hotel was as expected, clean and the staff were very pleasant, the rooms were interesting. The design of the bathroom was questionable, the toilet and shower is basically in the middle of the room…

2/5Barcelo Castillo - not for me1 May 26

We arrived late, about midnight. We had to wait about half hour to get seen too. No welcome drinks or positive reception. Castillo superior rooms, were not superior at all. Basic rooms and the kitchen units were peeling and had seen much better days. The bathroom units were in need of the wood being painted. We had slight mould around the…

4/5Must try harder for a 4 star1 Jul 26

Mixed review. I’m here as I type. The setting is lovely. Right on the beach which is great. Really shallow, clean clear and great for children. I have three. 2 teenagers and a 9 year old. Around the other side of the bay is a bank of pizzerias and sea food restaurants. Good service and food for all the family. Aura has great paella. So I…

2/5Run down but perfect locationFamily · 1 Jul 26

Lovely location with so many amenities. However, the accommodation is run down and the systems at the hotel need some consideration. For example, no self service drinks at the pool bar led to very long queues. Also limited access to snack bars. General maintanence of the site was quite poor with broken paths, few working parasols and poo…
